The New York Jets are in the market for a quarterback for their practice squad and that has led to them working out two signal-callers on Thursday, one of which is a former second-round draft pick.

According to The Athletic's Zack Rosenblatt, the Jets worked out quarterbacks Will Levis and Jack Plummer.
While the Jets could certainly use more insurance at quarterback on their 53-man roster, Rosenblatt notes New York is looking for a practice squad quarterback instead.
New York's current quarterbacks room includes Geno Smith and rookie Cade Klubnik, but the Jets don't have a signal-caller on the practice squad.
A draft bust
Levis was a second-round pick of the Tennessee Titans in 2023 and showed immense promise over his first nine games in the NFL.
However, things went completely off the rails for Levis in 2024 after he proved to be a turnover machine.
Levis' starting job was officially cooked in 2025, when the Titans drafted Cam Ward with the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft.
The Kentucky product went on to suffer a season-ending injury in July of that year and Tennessee cut ties with him on cutdown day this year.
What Will Levis brings to the table
The physical traits are all there for Levis.
Not only does he have a big arm, he also sports plus athleticism that allows him to escape the pocket and extend plays with his legs.
However, if Levis is ever going to succeed in the NFL after his failed stint in Tennessee, he must be less erratic than he has been.
More info on Jack Plummer
After going undrafted out of Louisville, Plummer latched on with the Carolina Panthers, but the 26-year-old has never taken an NFL snap.
Plummer has a good arm, but his college tape showed he struggles under pressure and he doesn't have much mobility.
It goes without saying he is far and away the less desirable option here.
