The Ascenders have produced several recent NFL Draft first round draft picks (Tyler Booker, Francis Mauigoa and JC Latham) and also have former linemen currently playing for Power 4 college programs (including LSU Jordan Seaton, Alabama's Michael Carroll and USC's Keenyi Pepe).
Junior tackle Major Green could be next.
"It’s great. I just try to work hard every day," Green said. "They followed the same footsteps that I'm in. Keep doing what I do."
The 6-foot-5, 335-pound is rated the No. 10 interior offensive lineman in the nation and the No. 21 recruit in the state in the 2028 class. He has more than two dozen offers, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Ohio State, Oregon and several others.
Green arrived at IMG from Virginia before the 2025 season. Maybe it was fate. As a freshman, Green told his parents he wanted to go to IMG. In an effort to jump start his recruitment, Green started putting his highlights on social media. IMG took notice and reached out.
Fast forward two years and Green is now the leader of a line that short on experience — there are no starting senior offensive linemen at IMG this season — but big on talent and potential.
"Leading is good because I was pretty much used to leading," he said. "With all the seniors gone, it’s up to me. ... Obviously, the last group last year, they all graduated went to good colleges, all that. This year, we're starting off strong with the five up front."
IMG opened the season with a dominant with over Utah 2025 state runner-up Lone Peak on the road. The offense, with junior quarterback Jayden Wade (Georgia commit) commit and a ridiculously talented group of skill position players led by senior wide receivers Eric McFarland (Texas A&M) and Osani Gayles (Alabama) and junior running back Elijah Newman-Hall (Ohio State), scored 59 points in each of the first two games of the season.
IMG opened the year at No. 1 in the USA Today Super 25 national poll. They've since dropped down to No. 2, which is a more of a reflection of St. Thomas Aquinas' notable early season wins than anything the Ascenders have (or haven't) done.
"We’re still young," Green said. "Last year, seniors. Our group is pretty young but were working. We just step on the field, dominating.
"It's what you build. We build a brotherhood here. Everybody could be good, but working against each other, when we get on the field we have a connection. We just go out there and put on a show, do our job."
Green wants to stay focused on the job in front of him right now. He's putting recruiting somewhat on the back burner for now so he can give his full attention to the season.
But Green does know what he's looking for when he does starts thinking about his future college home.
"Loyalty," Green said. "Are you going to help me make it to the next level? And how can you help me off the field, not just on the field?"
