Football fans witnessed former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick seemingly give an ESPN reporter the cold shoulder. On Saturday, Belichick’s North Carolina Tar Heels beat the TCU Horned Frogs 15-10 in Dublin, Ireland. The Tar Heels pulled off an upset, ensuring they didn’t lose big like last time.

At halftime, Belichick had a moment where he appears to snub an ESPN reporter. He seemingly ignored the ESPN/ACC Network’s Dana Boyle and kept walking straight ahead. Reacting to the clip of Belichick walking past the reporter, podcast host and NFL analyst John Middlekauff tweeted,

Bill Belichick Clash with Reporter During His Time in Patriots
Bill Belichick doesn’t just do regular press meets; he brilliantly controls the room using dry humor and sarcasm. He was extremely upset after the Patriots lost their 2021 game in Indianapolis.
Because of the frustrating loss, he barely spoke to the media after the game. However, a few days later, the Patriots coach felt he should apologize for his extremely short answers. Instead of letting reporters ask questions first on Zoom, Belichick took charge and spoke first.
“Look, fellas, I apologize if I seemed like I was a little short with you after the game. You know, obviously a frustrating game, down 20 to nothing, didn’t do anything well enough,” Belichick said, per CBS.
Even though he pretended to ignore the press, Belichick secretly kept track of everything written and said about his team.
