There were a total of 10 finishes on the card, but a few candidates were eliminated due to weight misses. Four fighters picked up an extra $100,000 for their performances at Shanghai Oriental Sports Center in China, including one loser for his size of the Fight of the Night. Additionally, five fighters got $25,000 extra checks for finishes that weren’t bonus-winners.
Check out the list of winners below.
Performance of the Night: Song Yadong ($100,000)
There was no doubt Song Yadong (24-9-1 MMA, 13-4-1 UFC) was going to be rewarded after one of the most surprising main event results of the year when he became the first to finish a core Nurmagomedov family member in MMA with a mind-blowing second-round knockout of Umar in Shanghai, just shy of the nine-year anniversary of his octagon debut in the same city.
Performance of the Night: Bilal Hasan ($100,000)
Just 18 days after winning a contract on Dana White's Contender Series, Bilal Hasan (10-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) experienced another fairytale moment when he got maximum bonus money for his one-punch knockout of Nilson Rojas in their bantamweight matchup on the main card.
Fight of the Night: Liu Ce vs. Levi Rodrigues Jr. ($100,000)
It lasted less than four and a half minutes, but the light heavyweight brawl between Liu Ce (4-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) and Levi Rodrigues Jr. (5-2 MMA, 0-2 UFC) was good enough to take home Fight of the Night honors. It was a thrilling scrap while it last and was ultimately capped off when Ce landed a canon on the chin of Rodrigues Jr. that faceplanted him into the canvas and sent the crowd into elation.
Finish bonuses ($25,000):
- Denise Gomes
- Kai Asakura
- Rei Tsuruya
