A flight attendant from Southwest Airlines was found dead after apparently falling from the 24th floor of a hotel while in Hawaii on a layover.

The body of Jenny Lupton, 50, was discovered near a dumpster by a hotel worker early last Thursday, news outlet KWTV reported.
Originally from Oklahoma, the mother of a teenaged son had worked as a Southwest flight attendant for 23 years. She was staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village resort, a four-star accommodation, in Waikiki, while on a layover.
Medical examiners stated it appeared she fell from her balcony on the 24th floor, per KWTV.
Family doesn’t think it was suicide
The woman’s family said they weren’t contacted until 24 hours after her body was found. They do not think she died by suicide.
In an interview with KFOR , Lupton’s sister, Tresa Lupton, said: “We strongly believe that she didn’t do this intentionally, and so that leads us to think it was either some kind of freak accident or someone harmed her.”
“We just want to know what happened. It doesn’t feel real,” she added.
Tresa said her sister was having fun in Hawaii during the layover, according to messages Lupton sent her.
“She just went out with one of her flight attendant friends, and they danced and had a good time,” Tresa said.
“She had just gotten a tattoo hours before this happened, and she messaged me. She said that when she gets back, she’s going to have it coloured in because it was just the outline.”
Tresa said Lupton, who is an avid gardener, had planned on getting a tattoo of a hibiscus to honour their late father.
Niece said aunt well-versed in Hawaii
Lupton’s niece, Hannah Lupton, told KFOR that the flight attendant was well-versed in Hawaii and had visited the island state “multiple times.”
In a Facebook post, Hannah said Lupton was “truly the best aunt anyone could have asked for.
“She was the light of every party, the person who could make a room brighter simply by being in it,” Hannah continued.
“She had a personality that was impossible to forget, and if you knew her, you probably have a funny story about her.
“She was unforgettable. She was loved. She was the life of the party, the storyteller, the aunt everyone wishes they had. She will always be a part of me.”
Lupton leaves behind Kaleb, her 15-year-old son.
