Pop Singer Cancels Concert at the Last Minute: ‘I’m Sadly Bedridden Sick’

Pop star Alex Warren has cancelled a concert at the last minute. The “Ordinary” singer told fans he was “bedridden sick” and therefore unable to perform.
Warren was scheduled to perform in Auckland, New Zealand, at the Spark Arena on Aug. 24. However, the “Fever Dream” songwriter took to Instagram to reveal that he was not gonna be able to make the show.

“I never have to do this, and it breaks my heart to even write this, but I have to cancel tonight’s show,” the 25-year-old wrote. “I have tried everything to be able to make this show work, and I’m sadly bedridden sick at the moment.” Warren said he “can barely talk, let alone sing, and it sadly isn’t possible to play tonight’s show.”
“I understand what it takes to be able to attend concerts, and the fact so many of you travelled for this one has made this decision even more difficult,” he added. “I love you so much and hope you understand.”

In a statement shared by Billboard, concert officials noted that Warren was cancelling his show due to “following medical advice” from physicians.
“Alex is devastated to miss the show and has been looking forward to performing for his Auckland fans,” the statement read. “He sincerely thanks fans for their understanding and support.” They added, “Alex is devastated to miss the show and has been looking forward to performing for his Auckland fans. Warren is still scheduled to perform in Sydney, Australia on Friday, the same day he is set to drop his sophomore album, Wildchild. The record has been highly anticipated, and comes after a handful of hit singles, including the aforementioned “Fever Dream”.
