The partnership between Notre Dame and Under Armour just got stronger
· Yahoo Sports
Three years ago, Notre Dame signed a 10 year contract extension with Under Armour. The first deal between Notre Dame and Under Armour started in 2014, and at the time, it was viewed more as a partnership than just an apparell agreement. Notre Dame was now a major stockholder in Under Armour (as part of the contract) which wasn’t something that was going on with anyone else or with Nike and Adidas.

Notre Dame’s new extension with Under Armour is valued at over $10 million annually in cash and gear (exceeding $100 million total), the deal keeps the Fighting Irish outfitted by the brand through spring 2034, beating competing bids from Nike and Adidas.
That kind of deal comes about because of a special relationship, but it also means the two are hand in hand. So… a dedicated Under Armour shop on campus, the Leep Varsity Shop, is probably long overdue.

While some fans whine about Under Armour and clamor for Nike (or a ridiculous return to Champion) the fact of the matter is that Under Armour is perfect for Notre Dame. While I’m not a fan of their shoes or cleats, the actual apparel is light years better than Nike or Adidas. It looks better, wears better, fits better, and for a unique program like Notre Dame — it’s the best match. This dedicated store just hammers those points home.
