A video shared on X by Lakshay Mehta shows the man walking through a train compartment with toothbrushes, toothpaste and soaps. What initially appeared to be a typical sales interaction quickly became a fascinating conversation about his extraordinary ability to learn languages.
Vendor surprises passengers with multilingual skills
The conversation began when a passenger showed interest in the toothpaste the vendor was carrying and started asking him about his background.
The man revealed that he was from Rajasthan and said he could communicate in "18 to 19 languages." He then demonstrated his English-speaking ability, conversing confidently with the passengers and immediately drawing more attention.
Rather than focusing on his products, the passengers became curious about how he had acquired knowledge of so many languages.

He explained his interest in learning languages
During the interaction, the vendor spoke about several regional languages he knew and highlighted similarities between them. His ability to identify links between different Indian languages appeared to fascinate the passengers.
