The Seattle Seahawks wide receiver depth continues to take hits with multiple key playmakers dealing with injuries. Seattle now faces a decision on whether the team should turn to the trade market for reinforcements at the position.

After missing an extended period of his rookie season with a shin injury, Tory Horton is once again sidelined after a brief return during training camp.

Additionally, Jake Bobo sustained what looked to be a serious injury during Seattle’s joint practice with the Tennessee Titans on Friday, August 21. Heavy Sports had an up-close look at the Seahawks-Titans practice.

Bobo went up for a reception but quickly went down in pain holding his leg. Both teams took a knee as Bobo was eventually carted off the field.

Bobo did not appear able to put weight on the injury and was helped to the locker room during practice.

One potential player who could at least be worth a call for Seahawks general manager John Schneider is Buffalo Bills wide receiver Keon Coleman. The playmaker has been floated as a potential trade candidate amid a disappointing start to his career in Buffalo.

Let’s dive into what a potential Bills-Seahawks trade could look like.

Seahawks Rumors: Bills WR Keon Coleman Could Be a Potential Trade Target

The Bill selected Coleman in the second round of the 2024 NFL draft with the No. 33 overall pick. Coleman posted 38 receptions for 404 yards and four touchdowns in 13 appearances during the 2025 season.

Not exactly the kind of numbers expected from a high second-round draft pick. Coleman is on a team-friendly four-year, $10 million rookie contract.

What would a proposed trade look like for the Seahawks? ESPN’s Seth Walder estimates that Coleman’s trade value is down to day-three draft pick.

The analyst proposed a trade between the Bills and Indianapolis Colts for Coleman. The NFL trade pitch had the Colts sending a 2027 fourth-round pick to the Bills for the wideout.

Indianapolis also received a 2028 sixth rounder as part of the proposed deal. The Seahawks are projected to have 12 draft picks in the 2027 NFL draft, which gives the team some added power to strike a deal for Coleman or another potential trade target.

Seahawks News: WR Jake Bobo Sustained a ‘Serious’ & ‘Long-Term’ Injury

The challenge for Seattle is that Bobo and Horton both possess value on special teams in addition to their wide receiver roles. Coleman has some experience playing special teams at Florida State but has not displayed the same prowess in the NFL.

Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald revealed that Bobo sustained a “serious” and “long-term injury.” It remains to be seen if Bobo will be able to return this season.

“Our heart goes out to Jake Bobo, it seems like it’s going to be a serious knee,” Macdonald noted on August 21, per Seahawks.com.

“We’re going to get it imaged, but early returns, it looks like it’s a long-term injury. That’s unfortunate.”

The good news for the Seahawks is that wide receiver appears to be a deep position. One name who could benefit from the unfortunate injuries is Montorie Foster Jr., who has flashed during training camp.
