Missing 4-year-old found dead in cemetery

Free State police have launched a manhunt after a 4-year-old boy was discovered with multiple injuries at a cemetery near Phahameng location in Winburg.
Police in the province said they were called to the scene on Friday, where they discovered Rethabile Lefa Jafta.

“On arrival at the cemetery in Valkop, police were alerted to the motionless body of a child. The child was discovered by members of the community.
“The victim was discovered with multiple injuries to the head and body, and a black t-shirt was found lying next to him.”
Missing
Jafta was reported missing a day before he was discovered.
“A search was immediately launched to determine the circumstances leading to his disappearance. The motive for the murder is unclear at this stage. Police investigations are underway, and no arrests have been made yet.”
