If you’ve ever been to a McDonald’s in another country, then you know there are some items offered that you just can’t get at home.

Visit afnews.co.za for more information.

Now, for a limited time, Canadians can get a taste of some popular McDonald’s imports.

The fast-food chain has brought back its World Menu Heist, where savoury classics, fries, desserts and even sauces get a globally infused kick.

What’s new, for now

Here’s what’s available to try — no passport required:

Chicken Parmi Burger (Australia): The chicken sandwich is layered with marinara sauce, creamy parmesan sauce, shredded lettuce, and white processed cheese, all on a soft potato bun.

McExtreme Pulled Pork (Spain): This one’s for the carnivores out there with pulled pork in barbecue sauce, beef and hickory-smoked bacon topped with white processed cheese, crispy onions for a crunchy texture and a creamy chipotle sauce to give it a little kick.

Garlic & Black Pepper Chicken McNuggets (Japan): Imagine those delicious nuggets revamped with a garlic and black pepper breading — ideal for dipping. (See below.)

Cheesy Bacon McFlavour Fries (France): It’s not exactly poutine, but this French take has the advantage of McDonald’s signature fries which are loaded with a creamy double cheddar cheese sauce and hickory-smoked bacon.

Truffle Flavoured Mayo-Style Sauce (Sweden): With just a hint of that truffle flavour, this creamy sauce is rich and indulgent.

Black Garlic Sauce (Japan): A perfect pairing to go with the Garlic & Black Pepper Chicken McNuggets while they’re here, but the deep umami flavour works with regular McNuggets too.

Stroopwafel McFlurry (Netherlands): McDonald’s vanilla soft serve gets a boost from caramel-flavoured cinnamon waffle pieces and, yes, more caramel sauce. A smooth yet crunchy sweet treat based on the classic Dutch dessert.

The World Heist menu is available for a limited time at participating restaurants across Canada.
