Residents urged to store water
The City is advising residents to prepare for the scheduled work by storing water ahead of time in clean, sealed containers for domestic use.
Residents should ensure they have enough water available for essential needs such as drinking, cooking, hygiene and flushing toilets during periods when supply may be affected.
The City also warns that water may appear discoloured or milky for a short period after supply has been restored.
This can happen because of trapped air in the pipes. If the water is left to stand in a glass, the City says it should become clear again.
