General Manager, Western Railway Hoisted The National Flag On Independence Day & Extended His Greetings To Fellow Railwaymen

The 80th Independence Day of our beloved nation was commemorated at Western Railway, with the National Flag hoisted by Ramashray Pandey, General Manager, Western Railway, at the Western Railway Headquarters in Churchgate. On this glorious occasion, he inspected the ceremonial parade of the RPF. Pandey addressed the gathering by extending his greetings on this solemn occasion to the Railwaymen and their families. At the start of the function, GM Ramashray Pandey was welcomed by Ajoy Sadany, IG-cum-Principal Chief Security Commissioner of Western Railway. Smt. Sujata Pandey, President of Western Railway’s Women Welfare Organization (WRWWO), Pradeep Kumar, Additional General Manager of Western Railway, Principal Heads of Departments along with other senior railway officers were also present.

According to a Press Release issued by Chief Public Relations Officer, Western Railway, Vineet Abhishek, in his Independence Day Message, General Manager Pandey briefed the gathering about the achievements & milestones accomplished by Western Railway recently. He stated that while we pay befitting tributes and homage to the unwavering valour and sacrifice of our freedom fighters, martyrs and all the heroes of the freedom struggle movement, we must continue to draw inspiration from their valiant spirit and channel our efforts to serve and build a better future for our country. Pandey while concluding his address, motivated the staff to continue with the hard work and appealed everyone to dedicate their efforts in the service of the nation and its citizens. He mentioned that with their collective efforts, Western Railway will march ahead on the path of continuous progress and play an important role in taking Indian Railways as well as India to greater heights.
Vineet stated that on this auspicious occasion, Smt. Sujata Pandey, President of Western Railway Women's Welfare Organization (WRWWO), Smt. Isha Malik, Vice President, along with Executive Committee Members of WRWWO, donated essential utility items like Chairs, Tables, Water Purifiers, Wheelchairs and Refrigerators to T-55 Building under Jagjivan Ram Hospital (JRH). T-55 Building accommodates Railway employees and their family members from across Indian Railways who are undergoing treatment at Tata Memorial Hospital.
In addition, Water Purifiers and Microwave Oven were donated to Jagjivan Ram Hospital. The donated items were handed over to Dr. Jyotsana Chopra, Principal Chief Medical Director of Western Railway.
