Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NCAA. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Purdue fans and fans across the country.

This one should be fun based on the comments that we’ve seen on the article Travis wrote. This week I want to have each of you put on your teacher hats and grade the hire of Tommy McClelland. I know. I know. We have no idea how he’s going to do but like so much of the hiring process in athletics, perception matters. Did Purdue go out and hire someone with skills necessary for the role or did they settle for someone who is in over his head?

Please note, I am not talking about just what he said in the press conference, I want a grade on the Lex Luger of it all. And since I’m asking you to be a teacher we are going to go with the traditional letter grades. No pass/fail or O/S/N/U grading systems here. Stick your neck out and make a choice.

Of course, we won’t really know how he does until years from now, but is Purdue starting on the right foot?
