Campbell joined the program in late 2022 and was one of Matt Rhule's first hires. Campbell worked with Rhule for the Carolina Panthers and Baylor Bears. Now, he is responsible for overseeing the strength and conditioning department.
Now, he is revealing the strength and conditioning approach that the program took heading into what is going to be a difficult 2026 season.
"We took more of a high-intensity approach… We're putting guys in situations where they have to train through the threshold of failure. It's always good to have a guy to your right, to your left, behind you that pushes you through that."
The program will certainly be put in difficult situations this upcoming season. Nebraska will need all hands on deck, as the team trots out a veteran group on both sides of the football. Time will tell if this approach is successful, but at the very least it’s clear that the program is working hard, with fall camp just a few weeks away.
