Princess Eugenie gives birth to third child in Portugal

Princess Eugenie and husband Jack Brooksbank have welcomed their third child, Buckingham Palace announced on Tuesday.

Sharing a photo taken by Brooksbank of the newborn in a pink onesie with wings on its back and a white beanie, the Royal Family said on its social media accounts that the princess gave birth to a baby girl on Monday.
“Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr. Jack Brooksbank are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter, born on Monday, 3rd August 2026, at 6.20 p.m., at a hospital in Lisbon, Portugal,” the statement read .
It noted that the baby weighed six pounds, nine ounces.
“Their Majesties The King and Queen and other members of The Royal Family were delighted to be informed of the news,” it added.

Princess Eugenie also posted the same photo of her newborn on her Instagram account, writing, “Jack and I are so excited to announce Baby Girl Brooksbank!! We are beyond in love with our girlie.”
Princess Eugenie, 36, and Brooksbank, 40, reportedly split their time between their homes in London and Portugal.
Baby joins British line of succession
The baby’s name was not disclosed, though U.K. media reported that the couple are taking some time to decide on a name.
The newborn is 15th in the line of succession to the British throne, following her mother, who is 12th in line, and her older brothers, August Philip Hawke, 5, and Ernest George Ronnie, 3.
Her birth bumps Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh, and King Charles’ youngest brother, down to a spot in the line of succession.
Difficult year for princess
Back in May, Princess Eugenie, the younger daughter of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor (formerly known as Prince Andrew) and ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, announced she was expecting in an Instagram post .
Sharing a photo of her two sons holding an ultrasound image, the King’s niece wrote, “Baby Brooksbank due 2026!”
The baby’s arrival follows a tough year for the princess, who saw her father and her mother stripped of their royal titles in October 2025 over their ties to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein .
Mountbatten-Windsor has denied all accusations of wrongdoing, while Ferguson has not been accused of any crime linked to the scandal.
Despite, the loss of their parents’ titles, Princess Eugenie and older sister Princess Beatrice, who aren’t full-time working royals, retained their titles.
