Liam Coen evaluates Anton Harrison's play at left tackle for Jaguars

Over the last few practices, Anton Harrison has seen his share of snaps at left tackle rather than right tackle for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

This isn't anything new for the Jaguars -- Harrison did the same thing last summer. As Tony Boselli detailed recently, repping Harrison at both positions gives Jacksonville "flexibility," noting how the versatility up front a season ago helped the Jaguars navigate injuries.

Head coach Liam Coen has been impressed with Harrison's ability to move to the left side as well.

"I think he’s done a nice job," Coen said on Monday. "It’s part of what we’ve done, moving those guys around and seeing what sticks and if that ends up sticking, hopefully that’s a good thing for us."

Over his first three NFL seasons, Harrison has played all but 21 snaps at right tackle, but the left side isn't foreign to him either -- that's where he spent most of his college career while at Oklahoma.

As Cole Van Lanen continues to work his way back from a knee injury, Jacksonville having the ability to start Harrison at right or left tackle, with Walker Little doing the same, gives them options is ever needed during the season.

"I think he's put together five good practices so far that you're pleased with seeing the consistency," added Coen. "That's something that we're continuously challenging, not just Anton with, but that entire unit and group is just consistency -- consistent effort, consistent technique, consistent finish. But I've been pleased with them just handling it pretty seamlessly so far."
