In a recent article, Bleacher Report writer Alex Kay cited Patrick Mahomes’ anticipated return from injury as a reason not to overlook the Kansas City Chiefs in 2026.
”The 30-year-old did his best to keep an undermanned Chiefs squad afloat with his legs last year, but the addition of Kenneth Walker III in free agency will allow Mahomes to return to the pocket and thrive as a passer,” said of Kansas City’s potential for success with Mahomes under center. "With Mahomes again running an Andy Reid offensive system that remains one of football's most difficult to defend, it wouldn't be wise to bet against the Chiefs returning to the top of the AFC.”
