The former Bologna player was welcomed last night by hundreds of fans and yesterday underwent a medical and signed a five-year contract with the Giallorossi.
During his vacation in Argentina, the twenty-two-year-old trained with his friend Soulé, who, however, could leave the capital after two seasons.
According to Il Tempo, the former Juventus player was already on the market in June, with the possibility of moving to Saudi Arabia being ignored and interest from Germany never being explored.
“We need an offer,” Gasperini implied in his early-season press conference, admitting the possibility of Soulé leaving. AC Milan have made inquiries, but they are grappling with the Leao affair and must decide how to move forward in attack.
The Giallorossi are asking for around €40 million, but no negotiations have yet begun, while Matias continues to work at Trigoria, trying to convince the manager to continue focusing on him in Rome, and is looking for a right-footed left-winger whom D’Amico would like to bring to the Giallorossi as soon as possible.
