One current Duke player set to earn more than LeBron James next season

LeBron James shocked the NBA world in multiple regards last week, as he agreed to a deal with the Philadelphia 76ers. While his decision to join the Sixers was surprising, so too was his contract. James inked a 2-year deal, officially rounded up to $8 million ($3.97 million per season).

Not only is James' new salary the lowest of his career, it's also lower than 18 different college basketball players, including one Blue Devil. That Duke player would be John Blackwell, who earned a sizable NIL deal after transferring from Wisconsin.

Other top earners include Florida's Thomas Haugh and Tennessee's Juke Harris. Only two schools feature multiple players included on the list of 18 athletes, those being Kentucky and Louisville.
