Kraft hosts youth camp in Green Bay

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Football season is right around the corner but former SDSU standout and Green Bay Packer Tucker Kraft made some time to give back to the Green Bay community.
The tight end partnered with Care Source to host 250 kids, first through eighth grade, from the Green Bay area for a camp geared towards teaching young athletes the fundamentals of the game in a fun, low-stakes environment. Kraft is coming off an ACL injury and has only two weeks before training camp begins but putting together this camp was still of high priority.

“This is all I’ve known is Green Bay, Wisconsin,” Kraft said. “Obviously aside from my South Dakota roots, but it’s very similar feeling to what I have, what I grew up with. Being able to contribute to something like this, being able to be a part of several kids days or a couple hundred kids days, it’s moving for me.”
Kraft and the Packers open the season against the Vikings on September 13.
