Kentucky Wildcats News: More basketball transfer portal options are becoming available

Kentucky Basketball head coach Mark Pope has his sights set on preparation for the upcoming season as his team begins to build out their chemistry, grinding away in the gym.

Pope may also have some focus set aside for Keyshawn Hall, a former Auburn wing who was just granted an additional year of eligibility.

Last season, Pope was quoted as comparing Hall to HOF player Paul Pierce. Hall is reportedly exploring his options for another run of college basketball, and Kentucky seems to make a lot of sense, though there’s been no reported contact between the two sides as of this writing. One would think Kentucky could become a serious contender rather quickly after missing out on international prospect Nikola Kusterica.

Similar to Hall, former UCLA Bruin Donovan Dent could be up next for being granted another year of eligibility, with Kentucky being in the running for his commitment just a year ago, though they likely won’t be this time around after landing Zoom Diallo.

It’s important to note that Kentucky isn’t currently in on any of these players, but that doesn’t mean they won’t be soon enough. And there will be plenty of other names emerging in the coming weeks as more lawsuits are filed and potentially run, so Pope should have plenty of options to fill that 15th roster spot if he so chooses.
