Chuma Edoga's tenure with the Jaguars

During the 2025 offseason, the Jaguars signed Edoga to a two-year, $7 million deal. This is the final year of Edoga's contract.

Recapping Chuma Edoga's 2025 season

Edoga provided a versatile presence for the Jaguars off the bench, with his ability to play both guard and tackle. Edoga ended up making two starts, while appearing in 11 games and playing 101 snaps.

He allowed one sack and two pressures over 33 pass-blocking snaps. His run-blocking grade from PFF was below average. Also of note, in only 101 snaps, Edoga was penalized five times.

Looking ahead to 2026 for Chuma Edoga

Edoga will again provide depth. Although competition is encouraged along the offensive line unit, Edoga probably isn't in the mix for starting snaps. Walker Little is likely the preferred first option off the bench at tackle, and Wyatt Milum could be the first guard.

That said, while Edoga brings a lot of value with his experience and ability to play multiple positions, he may still be fighting for a roster spot this summer. If released, the Jaguars save $2.91 million in cap space.

With the Jaguars returning all nine players from last year's 53-man roster, along with adding Emmanuel Pregnon in the draft, that's 10 potential roster spots devoted to this position. There are teams around the NFL who will keep that many, but for what it's worth -- and each year is different -- the Jaguars did roster only nine linemen on last year's initial 53-man.
