LeBron’s 2026 free agency has put the NBA on hold, as interested teams are waiting to see how their pursuit of the NBA’s all-time leading scorer pans out.

Draymond Green will give up No. 23 to LeBron James if he joins the Warriors
Green confirmed to a fan on Threads that he would give up his No. 23 to LeBron if he were to join the Warriors while also revealing the jersey number he’d take as an alternative.

Draymond loses No. 23 for a season but will see a boost in jersey sales with No. 5, while James’ No. 23 Warriors jersey presumably becomes the league’s best-selling jersey.

Unfortunately, it’ll take a lot more than a jersey number to convince LeBron to join Golden State this summer.
