Two men charged in separate historical sexual assault investigations

York Regional Police have charged a 73-year-old man from Chatham-Kent in connection with the historical sexual assault of a minor.
The investigation began in June, when the victim came forward to allege that they had been sexually assaulted by the suspect three times between 1997 and 1999. At the time, the victim was under the age of 16.
On Thursday, Michael Geniole was charged with three counts of sexual assault and three counts of sexual interference.
Investigators released his photo as they believe there may be additional victims.

Toronto man accused of sex assault
Police have arrested a 75-year-old Toronto man in a sexual assault investigation.
On May 12, police were made aware of a sexual assault that occurred in the Sackville-Dundas Sts. area about 11 years ago. It’s alleged that in September 2015, the victim was aboard an elevator with the suspect and the suspect sexually assaulted the victim.
Gebrehiwot Tesfamariam has been charged with sexual assault.
Investigators believe there may be more victims and an image of the accused was released.

Suspect sought in assault probe
Police are looking for a 47-year-old Toronto man in an assault investigation.
On Monday at about 1 a.m., police responded to a call for an assault in the Queen St. E.-Balsam Ave. area, where it was reported the victim and suspect got into a verbal altercation before the suspect allegedly assaulted the victim and fled.
While speaking with police, the victim disclosed a previous incident where the suspect allegedly assaulted the victim with a weapon.
Kelly Osborne is wanted for assault and assault with a weapon. He is 6-foot-5 with a skinny build, long dark hair and is unshaven.

Manhunt linked to unprovoked stabbing
Toronto Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man wanted in a stabbing investigation.
On Sunday around 12:45 p.m., there was an unprovoked assault that occurred in the Danforth Ave.-Main St. area when the suspect allegedly approached the victim from behind and stabbed the victim in the back before fleeing.
The suspect is a male in his late 20s, about 5-foot-10 and has a goatee. He was wearing a dark plaid sweater and blue jeans.

Montreal man cuffed in human-trafficking probe
York Regional Police have charged a 38-year-old Montreal man and are appealing for victims across Canada in connection with an ongoing human trafficking investigation.
In May, local cops were conducting a proactive enforcement investigation targeting the advertising of sexual services in York Region and identified a victim at a hotel in the area of Hwy. 7 and Leslie St. in Markham. The victim said they had been lured to Ontario from B.C. under false pretenses and were trafficked and exploited in the sex trade.
Officers identified additional victims and allegedly linked the suspect to an ongoing human trafficking investigation in Montreal.
Investigators believe there are additional victims in Ontario, B.C., Quebec and elsewhere in Canada and are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
The suspect is alleged to have presented himself online as a motivational speaker and fitness instructor who primarily works with women, using the usernames “Coach Dreamz” and “Dreamz.bigg.” He was also believed to frequent gyms across Canada.
Phillippe Mokoko faces 14 charges relating to trafficking and breach of probation.
