Canfield Softball captures the 12U District Championship

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – Canfield topped Austintown 11-5 in the Little League Ohio District 2 Softball Championship at the Fields of Dreams in Boardman on Monday night.
The game was featured as the WKBN Little League Softball Game of the Week.

Gabby Stack and McKayla Lang each went 2-2 with 2 two RBI’s for Canfield in the win.
Lydia Handel drove in three runs in the victory for Canfield.
Stack picked up the victory in the circle, tossing a complete game.
Austintown’s Lucia Williams finished the day 2-3 with two RBI’s in the setback.
With the victory, Canfield advances to the 2026 State Softball Tournament beginning on Sunday at the Fields of Dreams in Boardman beginning Sunday July 5.
