The Tennessee Titans have completed their first offseason program under head coach Robert Saleh, and overall, it feels like vibes are in a great spot at Vanderbilt Health Football Center.

Titans local media was able to view seven of the eleven total practices over the last five weeks. If were are handing out superlatives, the Cam Ward bad practice reaction would be named the “Why is Everybody Screaming At Each Other” moment of the spring.

But, we’re not. Austin Stanley and Easton Freeze came together to name a total of 20 players as either “Stock Up” or “Stock Down” entering the summer break. We did not list any offensive lineman for anything they did on the field. Without pads during these practices it doesn’t hold as much weight for them to land on either of these lists, again, for what they did on the field.

Stock Up Titans after OTAs and minicamp

RB Tyjae Spears

Stanley: I am truly fascinated to see what Brian Daboll has planned for Tyjae Spears. He is one of the most exciting players this franchise has had, since Derrick Henry left, with the ball in his hands. The problem has been his health and consistency. Spears could flourish in this offense by being a weapon in all areas of the field. I mean that. In a contract year, he has to stay healthy. For our football viewing entertainment, please stay healthy.

WR/Returner Chimere Dike

Freeze: Dike showed us that he can be a versatile piece of this offense as a rookie. He has a new coaching staff now, but that isn’t keeping him from being given the opportunity to take a Year 2 leap. He’s being used all over the formation in practice just like he was on Sundays last year, that isn’t changing much. He carries himself like a veteran, and it seems there’s an outsized amount of trust placed him him by the coaching staff.

WR Wan’Dale Robinson

Freeze: The Titans didn’t pay Robinson all that money for nothing. Robinson has been on a bit of his own personalized program so far this offseason, working as a bona fide veteran slot option. He and Cam have worked hard to get on the same page, and you could feel the progress on that connection over the span of the past month.

TE Gunnar Helm

Freeze: Gunnar Helm has the opportunity to take a big leap in year 2. He’s set to be this team’s primary TE target in the passing game, letting veteran Daniel Bellinger help out in some of the dirty work departments. You can see he’s matured physically, looking noticeably stronger and sturdier than this time last year. His connection with Cam could be something special.

WR Xavier Restrepo

Stanley: Xavier Restrepo does everything he’s asked 100 miles per hour. He’s made really impressive plays from his slot receiver position just about every open practice to this point. He ended the spring with three stand-up-out-of-your-seat plays in minicamp. One was the Odell Beckham Jr. type catch. Another a scoop-catch and run for a TD. The third was another big yards after catch explosive play.

The bummer: there’s really no way for him to make the team. He’s boxed out by Robinson and Dike in the slot.

QB Mitch Trubisky

Stanley: Trubisky looks like the best Titans back up quarterback since… Ryan Tannehill?

That’s not saying much, but his foundational knowledge of the offense and ability to execute it is also part of the reason why some of the non-starter pass catchers have made plays this spring. Dike, Restrepo, Elic Ayomanor, K.J. Osborn, Bryce Oliver, and Daniel Bellinger are all some who are benefitting from a higher level back up QB than prior.

LB Cedric Gray

Freeze: The Titans need to figure out their mike linebacker situation between veteran Cody Barton and rookie Anthony Hill Jr, but the other starting linebacker spot is locked in as Cedric Gray. The 2025 breakout is looking to round out his game this year, establishing himself as one of the best young linebackers on the roster. In this Robert Saleh defense, he could easily be the next in a long history of standout linebackers to flourish.

DL Soloman Thomas

Stanley: Thomas looks like the perfect glue guy type in the middle of Saleh’s defensive front. Not only does he know the defensive system, he understands the standard from his time playing for the head coach and defensive line coach Aaron Whitecotton. His pick-six on a Will Levis screen pass early in OTAs showed what he can do, too.

CBs Micah Robinson, Keydrain Calligan

Stanley: When opportunity knocks, open the door. That’s what both Robinson and Calligan have done with big money free agents Alontae Taylor and Cor’Dale Flott both taking it easy during the voluntary period. Robinson has taken it on the chin by being on the wrong end of a few Carnell Tate highlights, but he’s always been right in his pocket. Both players have multiple interceptions in practice to their names. Robinson walked-off the whole offseason program by picking off Levis on the final play of minicamp.

S Kevin Winston Jr.

Freeze: The rookie season was good but bookended by soft tissue injuries, but now Winston is feeling as good as ever. Those soft tissue injuries aren’t the only thing that’s behind him now: he also is fully recovered from his college ACL tear. I think we might be about to see a breakout season from the traits-y defender.

Stock Down Titans after OTAs and minicamp

QB Will Levis

Stanley: Levis had some really bright moments, but unfortunately, his low moments were memorable. The Titans third QB had a rough stretch of interceptions across OTAs, bounced back, but then dropped again. That’s the book on Levis. Three of the five “stock up” Titans defenders accounted for four of Levis’s five picks over the seven practices we watched.

Will the Titans find a trade partner?

QB Hendon Hooker

Freeze: What is there to say about Hooker besides that we haven’t really seen him do anything. He’s the fourth QB on this roster, and almost every team drill rotates first, second, and third teams. He’s not getting any work and clearly isn’t really competing.

Veteran depth running backs

Stanley: Michael Carter, Julius Chestnut, or Kalel Mullings didn’t do anything wrong to hurt themselves during the open practices. They were all totally fine. The problem is three-fold:

  • Saleh said Pollard and Spears are the team’s “bell cows”
  • Rookie draft pick Nick Singleton is back healthy and rotates in more frequently ahead of the trio
  • None of the trio did anything to truly separate themselves from the other two.

The three running backs were all equally solid. Only one of them can survive to make the roster, at most.

WR Mason Kinsey

Stanley: Mason Kinsey is my kind of guy and he deserves more appreciation for how he’s gutted out years on this franchise’s practice squad with his team mentality. Man… I’m not sure if this practice squad is going to have room for him still. Restrepo is worth keeping around. I also think two of the other UDFA rookies are worth keeping around in Hank Beatty and Tyren Montgomery. Don’t overlook Lance McCutcheon, either. There’s no dead weight in this receiver room.

RT JC Latham

Freeze: The only reason Latham’s stock is down is that he’s dealing with a small injury of some kind. He didn’t participate most practices (that the media saw) the past month, and is going into the most important season of his life. This is the campaign that will make or break his chances of landing a big contract extension in Tennessee. As long as he’s back for when we put pads on, things should be alright.

DE Femi Oladejo

Freeze: Another wounded warrior who needs to have a big summer. Oladejo was a big investment in the draft last year, but he could easily get himself buried in this built-up DL room if he doesn’t keep up this summer. There’s no indication to worry he’ll be gone once camp rolls around, though, and the coaching staff continues to bring him up as somebody they’re excited to utilize. He just needs to come back.

CB Joshua Williams

Stanley: The free agent corner from Kansas City was limited to a dozen or so defensive snaps all of 2025, relegated to a special teams role. In Tennessee he had the chance to be the third outside corner behind Taylor and Flott. Williams ended the offseason program working on a side field, not in team drills. That’s allowed Micah Robinson and Calligan to make plays in his spot.

Yapper Jared Stillman

Freeze: From one yapper to another, Jared; you’ve gotten a ton of attention, but is it for the right reasons?

All of Titans twitter has been unable to resist letting Stillman’s natural, earnest, and often supremely silly criticism get their goat. The masses have been properly riled up. But Cam’s strong finish in Mandatory Minicamp allowed those fans to get their licks in on my friend Stillbilly this week, hence his stock being down. See you in July pal!
