They were led by Jalen Brunson with 45 points,
Ariel Hukporti again saw action and is now, after Dirk Nowitzki and Isaiah Hartenstein, the third German player to win an NBA championship.
He did so in front of numerous celebrities including the UK's Prince Harry and actors Ben Stiller and Timothee Chalamet.
As in each of the previous four games, the Spurs built a big lead and the Knicks struggled with their shooting. But for the fourth time, however, New York eventually found a rhythm and fought back.
This time they levelled at 83-83 in the final quarter after 10 straight points.
Just over a minute later, the Knicks took the lead at 86-85 for the first time since the opening phase and did not look back.
