Jackson is in his second season after transferring from Wofford. He's hit a team-high 31 home runs along with 86 RBIs. Jackson has 29 stolen bases and was named as the SEC player of the year.
"The Georgia Bulldogs are in the midst of the kind of season that will go down in college baseball history as one of the most impressive of all-time," Perfect Game's Vincent Cervino wrote. "The offensive firepower is the engine that makes this machine go and junior catcher Daniel Jackson is the one that lights the fuse."
Jackson's big individual season has been a big part of UGA's team success. Jackson is one of only three players in NCAA history with at least 30 home runs and 25 stolen bases.
Jackson is also a finalist for the Golden Spikes Award along with UCLA's Roch Cholowsky and Arizona State's Landon Hairston. The Golden Spikes Award winner will be announced on June 29.
Jackson and Georgia aren't done. No. 3 Georgia is hoping to defeat No. 6 Texas in their opening game of the College World Series as the Bulldogs look to win a national championship.
