Now, reports suggest the Buccaneers could be set to welcome one of the standout performers from Golden Arrows’ impressive 2025/26 campaign.
The player in question is Ivorian midfielder Cisse, who emerged as one of the most influential figures in the Abafana Bes’thende team last season.
ORLANDO PIRATES LINK GATHERS MOMENTUM
Sources close to the Durban-based club indicate that the midfielder’s departure has already been finalised. Only an official announcement still outstanding.
According to a source close to Golden Arrows, the transfer process has already been completed.
“Cisse has signed with a new club. The deal is signed and sealed. The club will make an announcement,” the source told Kick Off.
The comments have intensified speculation that Orlando Pirates are the Betway Premiership club that has secured his services.
While no official confirmation has yet been provided, indications are that the midfielder could soon be unveiled by the Buccaneers.

MTHETHELELI MTHIYANE
Born in Richards Bay, Mthetheli Mthiyane emerged through the Bissa Academy before making his name at Milford FC. Nicknamed “Vieira”, the defensive midfielder earned a move to Stellenbosch FC ahead of the 2025/26 season. The 25-year-old made 30 appearances in all competitions. He also earned a place in Bafana Bafana’s preliminary squad in March 2026.
SBANGANI ZULU
The eNdwedwe-born defender rose through the Royal AM development ranks before making his Betway Premiership debut in the 2024/25 season. Richards Bay FC signed him in April 2025, and he went on to make 25 appearances while earning praise for his physicality and aerial strength.
BOHLALE NGWATO
Born in Tshwane in 2006, Bohlale Ngwato developed through the SuperSport United academy and is regarded as one of South Africa’s brightest young wingers. Nicknamed “John Wick”, he broke into senior football in 2026 and impressed enough to earn a Bafana Bafana call-up.
GHAMPANI LUNGU
The Zambian forward began his career with National Assembly Lusaka before spells at Power Dynamos and SuperSport United. Known for his pace, strength and versatility, Lungu spent seven seasons with SuperSport United before a successful stint with Siwelele FC.
