The $17.5 million average annual salary is the third-highest in football for a center behind Raiders center Tyler Linderbaum and Chiefs center Creed Humphrey. Brewer, 28, will sign his deal after being named second-team All-Pro in his sixth NFL season.
The Dolphins secure Brewer’s continued services ahead of the first year with new starting quarterback Malik Willis. Miami released longtime quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who played six seasons for the Dolphins after the selected him in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Tagovailoa has since signed with the Atlanta Falcons, and Willis will take over as Miami’s starter taking snaps from Brewer after four seasons as a backup for the Green Bay Packers and Tennessee Titans.
