George Russell Takes Toto Wolff’s Son Around Monaco GP in Heart-Warming Mission
· Yahoo Sports
There are race weekends, and then there are race weekends where George Russell spends his spare time escorting a nine-year-old around the Monaco paddock hunting autographs. The latter is considerably more entertaining to watch.
A video circulating from the 2026 Monaco Grand Prix weekend shows Russell playing “big brother” to Jacky Wolff – son of Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff – guiding him through the paddock on a mission to get a full stack of F1 trading cards signed. Jacky, dressed in Mercedes white and a custom-decorated cap, looks every bit the paddock regular. Russell, in his teal Mercedes polo, looks like a man who has accepted his duties and is fully committed to them.

The Paddock’s Best Signatures – and One Missed Opportunity
The pair work through the grid. Oscar Piastri, Sergio Pérez, Alex Albon, Ollie Bearman, Kimi Antonelli, Charles Leclerc, Yuki Tsunoda, and Lewis Hamilton all make appearances. Norris too, though not without resistance from his own teammate.
“Lando’s or not? Because I… I wouldn’t want it,” Russell tells Jacky as Norris approaches – apparently within earshot, because Norris fires back immediately: “No, you’ve got me.” Russell concedes. Lovely banter between the two drivers.
Perez brings one of the best moments. When Jacky mentions he already has a Checo card from his Red Bull days, Perez grins and fires back: “Well, get one from Cadillac!” Albon, not to be outdone, announces he’s added his racing number to his signature — “so it’s worth more money.” Jacky is absolutely selling these.
Hamilton’s cameo might be the highlight of the whole clip. He walks towards them, opens his arms for a hug, and Russell immediately grabs him for a signature: “Lewis, signature. All right.”
The only driver who doesn’t make the cut is Valtteri Bottas, who passes by early on. “No, we didn’t have your card, mate. Sorry,” Russell tells him. Brutal. Efficient. Moving on.
“You got loads! We got a lot then, didn’t we? Well done, thank you. Have a good one,” Russell tells the young Wolff.
Why This Actually Matters
Jacky is already deep into karting and considered seriously competitive on track – competitive enough that it worries his father, who has seen more than enough dangerous incidents across his career in Formula 1.
His mother, Susie Wolff, is a former racing driver herself and currently serves as managing director of F1 Academy.
