KU’s super regional in the NCAA tournament against Oklahoma is scheduled to play out Saturday through Monday, June 6 through June 8, according to the team's social media post on X. It’s a best-of-three series, with the first game set to be televised Saturday at 5 p.m. (CT) on ESPN2. The second game is Sunday at 5 p.m. (CT). The third game on Sunday is to be determined.
Kansas won the Lawrence Regional this past weekend, while Oklahoma won the Atlanta Regional. KU swept its NCAA regional, while Oklahoma had to win a winner-take-all game on Monday against host Georgia Tech, scoring on a walk-off home run in extra innings to reach this point. The Jayhawks are representing the Big 12 Conference, and while the Sooners are in the Southeastern Conference, they were recently a member of the Big 12 before making the move.
Kansas’ momentum is as high as it's been all season. The Jayhawks won the Big 12’s regular-season and tournament titles before continuing to enjoy postseason success. Coach Dan Fitzgerald’s squad has fed off the energy of Hoglund Ballpark in Lawrence and will now have the opportunity to continue doing so.
