LEBANON – Layne Riggs added to the family guitar collection on May 30.

Riggs passed race leader Rajah Caruth on the last lap of the Allegiance 200, the NASCAR Nashville Craftsman Truck race, to end the over five-hour race that started on May 29, but ended a few minutes after midnight thanks to a weather delay that lasted two and 45 minutes.

For Riggs, the Nashville Superspeedway guitar trophy was his first. But his dad, Scott Riggs, won three guitar trophies at the superspeedway, including the inaugural Craftsman Truck Series race in 2001. He also won O'Reilly races in 2002 and 2003.

"He's got his trophy cases with his guitars in our basement," Layne Riggs said. "I've had to look at them my whole life. I usually take all of my trophies home to my place in Charlotte. But I think I'm going to take this one back and put it with his."

Scott and Layne Riggs are the first father-son winners in Nashville Superspeedway race history. Scott Riggs was in victory lane to give his son a hug, then congratulated his entire Front Row Motorsports Ford team.

Layne Riggs, 23, has won three races in 2026, including two straight after winning at Charlotte. It's his eighth victory in 65 truck series races. This one, though, wasn't easy despite the dominant start. Layne Riggs started from the pole after qualifying was rained out. He led the first 98 laps before restarting 10th after the start of the final stage. He promptly fell back three spots.

Riggs said he had an issue with his tires. He said his truck didn't improve until changing tires with a late-race pitstop. That gave him the speed in the final laps.

Riggs passed Ross Chastain then Front Row teammate Chandler Smith in the waning laps before getting by Caruth, the defending Nashville truck race winner, on the final lap. Caruth, who was driving for Spire Motorsports in a ride originally set for Kyle Busch to pilot before his death on May 21.

Riggs bowed to the crowd at the start/finish line after the win as a tribute to Busch.
