Shohei Ohtani Keeps Two-Way Duties Wednesday Despite HBP: Lineup
· Yahoo Sports
The Los Angeles Dodgers are keeping reigning MVP Shohei Ohtani in the lineup after he got hit by a pitch and left Tuesday’s win against the Colorado Rockies.
Ohtani took a pitch off of his hand early in Tuesday’s blowout win, and the Dodgers subsequently took him out of the game. Manager Dave Roberts said he would still pitch today, but that the decision to keep him in the lineup was up in the air.

Who is Starting for the Rockies?
Tomoyuki Sugano will start for the Rockies in the final game of the series, setting up an all-Japanese affair on the mound. Sugano has settled in nicely with his new team, posting a 3.86 ERA through 53.2 innings pitched, though he only has 28 strikeouts.
Wednesday will mark just the 21st matchup between Japanese-born starters in MLB history, with the last one coming against the Chicago Cubs during 2025’s Tokyo Series. The Dodgers will hope to replicate their results from that game as they look to close out a series sweep against their divisional opponent. The final game of the set comes Wednesday at 7:10 p.m. PT.
