Gossip: Barcelona linked with shock move for Arsenal center-back Piero Hincapie

Barcelona have the rumor mill all excited at present with Anthony Gordon close to completing a transfer to Camp Nou and the Catalans set to bid for Julian Alvarez.
A new report from the Daily Mail now claims that Barcelona are pondering a move for Arsenal defender Piero Hincapie “but recognise it will be a difficult deal to pull off.”

Hincapie joined the Gunners on loan from Bayer Leverkusen and has played a part in the club’s Premier League title win, making 25 outings in the English top flight.
Arsenal do have the option to make the transfer permanent for a fee of £45 million, but Barca are pondering trying to snatch him away from the Gunners. The club have been looking for a left-sided center-back but have recently cooled interest in Alessandro Bastoni.
Deco reportedly knows it may not be an easy transfer to facilitate but is tempted to test the waters and see if Hincapie is keen on heading to Barca this summer.
