In the case of Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Chris Boswell, he made headlines signing a four-year extension worth $28 million, tying Brandon Aubrey of the Dallas Cowboys.
These are the two best kickers in the NFL, but could this signal what the Minnesota Vikings might have to pay for Will Reichard?
Reichard has two years remaining on his deal, but has become one of the better kickers in the NFL. If he continues to develop and play at a high level, there’s a possibility that Minnesota might be paying Reichard similar money, if not more, come 2027. There is a chance that the Vikings reset the kicker market next offseason by extending Reichard, but we will have to wait and see if that comes to fruition.
