The popularity of Central Railway's Vistadome coaches has increased steadily over the last three years, with many routes registering over 100% ridership. During the 3 financial years 2023-24 to 2025-26, 5.33 lakh passengers have travelled in 11,878 Vistadome coaches on Central Railway trains, earning a revenue of Rs 81.29 crore.
During the financial year 2023-24, Central Railway operated 3,982 Vistadome services, carrying 1,76,404 passengers and earning a revenue of Rs 26.50 crore, while the average passenger load was 91.36%. This growing trend continued in the financial year 2024-25, when 1,76,608 passengers travelled in 3,930 trips, earning a revenue of Rs 26.83 crore and the average passenger load improved to 92.56%. In the financial year 2025-26, Vistadome services further strengthened their performance, carrying 1,80,466 passengers in 3,966 trips and earning a revenue of Rs 27.96 crore, while the average passenger load improved to 93.67%. This consistent demand reflects the success of Central Railway’s premium tourism and leisure-oriented services.
