LSU softball schedule, complete lineup for Baton Rouge Regional

LSU softball begins postseason play this week, hosting an NCAA regional in Baton Rouge. Virginia Tech, South Alabama, and Akron will all travel to Tiger Park. After a double-elimination tournament, one team will be left standing with a ticket to the Super Regionals next week.

The first game of the weekend features Virginia Tech and South Alabama. The action will begin on Friday at 3 p.m. CT. LSU will play its first game later in the day, facing Akron at 5:30 p.m. CT on Friday. Both Friday games are slated to be on ESPN+.

If LSU wins on Friday, the Tigers will play the Game 1 winner on Saturday at 12 p.m. CT. If LSU loses, they'll face the Game 2 loser in an elimination game on Saturday afternoon.

LSU softball enters the tournament with a 37-17 record as the No. 16 overall seed. That was just good enough for LSU to host. Any lower and the Tigers would have been hitting the road this weekend.
