The PGA Tour is preparing for its second major of the 2026 season, and the tour descends on Aronimink Golf Club for the 2026 PGA Championship. When it comes to the second major, there are a myriad of storylines heading into the event.

  • Will Scottie Scheffler win back-to-back PGA Championships?
  • Will a first time major winner, like Cameron Young or Tommy Fleetwood, claim their first crown?
  • After his Masters win, will there be a letdown for Rory McIlroy?

These are just a few of the storylines and narratives heading into the Philadelphia suburb of Newton Square, Pennsylvania.

With this event being a major event, the biggest names in golf, including LIV golfers, will be taking on Aronimink Golf Club, the Par 70 which measures 7,394 yards in length. The PGA Championship rotates venues, but it is important to note the past winners of this tournament.

PGA Championship Past Winners

  • 2025: Scottie Scheffler
  • 2024: Xander Schauffele
  • 2023: Brooks Koepka
  • 2022: Justin Thomas
  • 2021: Phil Mickelson

Keeping in mind players who have done well in the PGA Championship, let’s take a look at the top five players, based on odds.

2026 PGA Championship Odds

  • Scottie Scheffler (+385)
  • Rory McIlroy (+910)
  • Jon Rahm (+1400)
  • Cameron Young (+1650)
  • Bryson DeChambeau (+1850)
  • Xander Schauffele (+1950)

When it comes to picks for this event, I like to start with my favorite and long shot picks for the tournament. The favorite pick is the pick I like the most for an outright winner. For the long shot winner, that is a golfer who has over +2000 odds to win. It is a long shot pick for a reason, and finding those can be like finding a needle in a haystack.

Here are my favorite and long shot picks for the 2026 PGA Championship:

Favorite: Cameron Young (+1650)

Long Shot: Tommy Fleetwood (+2700)

Some who have tracked my picks might be shocked I am not going with Scottie Scheffler, but if there is a golfer who is playing better than Scheffler at this juncture of the season, it’s Young. As Scheffler has three straight solo 2nd place finishes, Young has won some big tournaments this season.

Young hasn’t won a major yet this year, but he is set up for his first major of his career.

Speaking of first majors, my long shot pick is another player who has yet to win the big tournament. It took him years to finally break through with a PGA Tour win, but I like the way Tommy Fleetwood’s game is trending, and at +2700 odds he is a tremendous long shot play to potentially win his first major.

Now let’s take a look at the Top 5, Top 10, Top 20, and Bonus plays for the 2026 PGA Championship.

Top 5 Bets For PGA Championship 2026

  • Cameron Young (+305)
  • Scottie Scheffler (-122)

The fact Young is getting +305 odds to be in the Top 5 is pretty crazy. He has won the Players, was in the final pairing at the Masters, and won the signature event the Cadillac Championship just two weeks ago. Young at least being near the top of the leaderboard seems to be a great pick.

On top of Young being in the Top 5, I’ll take Scheffler, even at -122 odds. As stated earlier, Scheffler has finished solo 2nd in the last three events, and even if his game isn’t at his best, he should be near the top of the leaderboard.

Top 10 Picks For PGA Championship 2026 Odds

  • Ludvig Aberg (+190)
  • Tommy Fleetwood (+210)

Last week at the Truist Championship I took Aberg as a Top 10 pick, and it cashed. I’m going back to the same well to see if Aberg can continue his stellar play after his collapse on Sunday at the Players Championship.

I’m also going to be taking Tommy Fleetwood to have a great tournament and finish in the Top 10. Fleetwood also played well last weekend, and his game has been trending in the right direction as the 2026 season has progressed.

Top 20 Value Picks For PGA Championship 2026

  • Tyrell Hatton (+176)
  • Brooks Koepka (+146)

The only LIV player to get a pick from me this weekend isn’t named Rahm or DeChambeau, but Tyrell Hatton. Hatton has played well during major tournaments, and had a strong showing at the Masters earlier this spring. It is a flier, but I think he’ll have a great chance at a Top 20 finish.

For my gut-feeling pick of the week, I’m going to go with Brooks Koepka. Koepka played well in Myrtle Beach last week, and at some point you get the feeling Koepka is going to find some of his game that won all those majors before his drought started after the 2023 PGA Championship.

Best Prop Bets, Parlays And Bonus Plays for PGA Championship

For bonus plays, these are picks which I don’t necessarily hang my hat on, but still provide value for some who want more exotic plays outside of the aforementioned picks. Sometimes bonus plays are parlays, double chances, triple chances, and even some fun plays for that particular event.

Here are the Bonus plays for the 2026 PGA Championship:

Top 30: Rickie Fowler (+136)

Double Chance: Scottie Scheffler or Cameron Young (+290)

Triple Chance: Rory McIlroy or Cameron Young or Scottie Scheffler (+185)

Top 20 Parlay: Scottie Scheffler, Cameron Young, Bryson DeChambeau (+290)

Margin of Victory: 1 shot (+220)
