Liverpool star discusses his future at the club

Liverpool defender Joe Gomez says he is unsure what his long-term future holds.
The 28-year-old is out of contract at the end of next season and has endured another frustrating campaign with injury.

But he has still played 31 times in all competitions under Arne Slot and asked about his future, he said: “I’ve only got a year left so I don’t know, but whatever is meant to be will be, I guess.
“But I’m so grateful to have had this time here at this club. I’ll always be grateful to have had 11 years at a place like this. All I can do is be thankful and we’ll see.”

Gomez is the current longest-serving player at the club, joining back in 2015.
He would become another long-serving player to leave Liverpool this summer should he depart, with Mo Salah and Andy Robertson already confirming their exits.
