If you're like me, you've grown tired of having this same drawn-out discourse every time the Boston Celtics season ends. However, with the latest uncharacteristic antics from superstar guard Jaylen Brown, the national media has been forced to raise the discussion once again.

Unfortunately, this time it feels a little different. In the debates of old, it was Boston fans debating whether the team needed to shake things up to win the Larry O'Brien. Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum proved they did not.
This time around, the trade rumors are not fueled by the inability to win the big one, but by Brown's own flippant comments.
The usually eloquent superstar has gone on multiple social media rants lasting several hours, during which he voiced his frustrations, among other things, related to the Celtics' playoff loss.
Christopher Gasper of the Boston Globe told 98.5 The Sports Hub's "Felger & Mazz" that he believes Brown does not feel equal to Tatum in the eyes of the Celtics organization.
"I think he just wants to be treated like an equal of Jayson Tatum," Gasper said. "There are times -- based in the past on stuff that I've heard or read about the Celitcs organization -- that Tatum is afforded a certain amount of influence in the organization. They check with him on certain decisions, and he has direct access to the coach and the president of operations.
"And I'm not saying that Jaylen doesn't... but I think there's a feeling there that there is a separation."
"...I think that there is a feeling there that there's like a separation. That Tatum's on one tier in terms of influence and importance to the [#Celtics] and that [Jaylen Brown] is on another one."@FelgerAndMazz@cgasper

As hard as it is to believe that the Finals MVP is treated much differently than the slightly younger forward. As a Celtics fan, it's hard to argue that many around the city seem partial to Tatum. It feels like everybody chooses a favorite between the two, but if the same is happening in the front office, it is understandable that Brown could be feeling undervalued.
