The Daily Mail first claimed that Newey was in the hospital with pneumonia, which resulted in him working from home as he recovered over the past few weeks from the illness
In a comment to the Mail, Aston Martin refused to comment on the details of the sickness or report.
“We don’t comment on personal matters relating to any of our team members,” the team said. “Adrian is working and was on campus last week.”

He was poached from Red Bull for big money with the hope that he could push Aston Martin to the top.
However, the Endstone team has been poor to start the year, with a reliability issue that has prevented them from racing in most competitions, if at all.
Honda’s power unit has let the team down, with vibrations that prevent it from completing races.
Newey is hard at work, hoping to fix the issue sooner rather than later, while also looking for a new team principal who can have him focus solely on designing.
Aston Martin struggles on the track
The frustration over the car has spilled over onto the drivers, including veteran Fernando Alonso, who has echoed his frustration at being asked similar questions at each race, with limited solutions coming down the pipe.
“We’ll take it step by step. These are going to be tough races; it’s going to be repetitive. Obviously, we have media sessions every day: on the first day, Friday, Saturday and Sunday,” Alonso said.
“What can we expect in Canada? The same. What can we expect in Austria? The same. We have to manage everyone’s frustration in the team, but I think we’re relaxed. We’re all committed to ensuring that after the summer we have a better second half of the year.”
Hopefully, Newey’s health improves to the point where he can get back to making physical appearances at the races and can focus solely on getting the car racing as fast as possible.
