Veteran producer R.B. Choudary died on Tuesday in a tragic car accident. The accident took place near Joontha village in the Bewar district of Rajasthan. His mortal remains were brought to his residence in Chennai, where several South Indian film personalities arrived to pay their last respects.

Tamil superstar and politician Thalapathy Vijay, who recently secured a major political victory in the Tamil Nadu Election 2026, paid his final respects to R.B. Choudary. He placed a flower garland on the mortal remains and was seen emotionally embracing Jiiva, the late producer’s son.
Vijay’s father and filmmaker S.A. Chandrasekhar also visited the residence to offer their condolences and pay tribute to the veteran producer.
Several other prominent names from the South Indian film industry also arrived to pay their respects, including Mammootty, Dhanush, Suriya, and Sivakarthikeyan.

Actor Mammootty was seen arriving at the Chennai residence of the late veteran producer to offer heartfelt condolences and pay his final respects to the grieving family.

Amid the tragic loss, actor Dhanush also visited the late producer’s home to offer his final respects and share condolences with the family.

Actor Vishal also arrived to pay his tribute to R.B. Choudhary. He later met Jiiva, who was deeply distressed by his father’s passing. Vishal was seen embracing Jiiva and offering comfort, standing by him during this difficult and emotional time.

R.B. Choudary was a well-known Indian film producer and the founder of the production banner Super Good Films, which has backed several successful Tamil and Telugu movies over the years. He produced popular films such as Thulladha Manamum Thullum, Poove Unakkaga, Love Today, Samurai, and Punnagai Desam, many of which played a key role in shaping 1990s and early 2000s South Indian cinema. He was known for introducing and supporting new talent in the industry. He was survived by his son Jiiva, a popular Tamil actor known for films like Ko, Siva Manasula Sakthi, and Kattradhu Thamizh. His other son, Jithan Ramesh, is also an actor and producer in the Tamil film industry, known for films such as Jithan and Madhu.
