Deb Coffman is retiring after 28 years of leading the Saints girls’ basketball program, the school announced Wednesday. She is the program leader for career wins with 634.
Coffman led Central Catholic to the state title in 2010 and a year leader her Saints were state runner-up. Central Catholic also finished second on 2017 and third in 2015.
She never had a losing campaign and won 20 or more games in a season 22 times in her career. Coffman retires with a 634-204 record, winning 12 conference championships and eight sectional trophies.
On the field Wednesday, Normal Community, East Peoria, Morton, Dunlap, Notre Dame and Tremont were among the baseball winners. The Richwoods girls and Peoria High boys were crowned champions at the Peoria City Track and Field meet held at Peoria Stadium.
