The college baseball postseason outlook is starting to become clearer.
There wasn’t much movement for the top seven NCAA baseball teams in the country in the USA TODAY Super 16 college baseball rankings.
Visit palladian.co.za for more information.
Joining the rankings for the first time this season is red hot Kansas, which has won 17 of its last 18 games.
Another notable surge is last year’s national runner-up Coastal Carolina, which has dealt with several early season injuries. The return of ace Cameron Flukey makes the Chanticleers one of the scarier teams in the country.
Coastal Carolina and North Carolina will have a must-watch midweek battle this week.
The state of Mississippi is also gaining momentum with three of its schools potentially host regionals between Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and Southern Miss. The Rebels and Bulldogs will battle for in-state midweek battle.
MSU will look to continue to sure up its postseason resume at Texas. The same can be said about Ole Miss’ matchup against Arkansas.
Other notable series this weekend include Texas A&M hosting Auburn.
Finally, in the Big 12 West Virginia will have a chance to bolster its resume for a pivotal Big 12 matchup against Kansas State.
