Four Toronto bars have earned spots in the list of North America’s 50 Best Bars .
Popular Little Italy cocktail joint Bar Pompette ranked the highest for T.O., taking the eighth spot on the annual list.

The Parisian-inspired bar is a repeat winner and has earned several accolades in the past, including winning the No. 1 spot in the best bar category on Canada’s 100 Best list in 2024.
Other Toronto winners
The Fairmont Royal York’s Library Bar also won over voters at North America’s 50 Best Bars Academy, taking the 19th spot on the list.
Voters also awarded the posh hotel’s literary-themed cocktail lounge the Ketel One Sustainable Bar Award.
“The bar integrates seasonal ingredients, thoughtful sourcing and low-waste practices into its cocktail program, demonstrating a commitment to sustainability without compromising its elevated guest experience,” North America’s 50 Best Bars said in a press release.
Queen West’s Mother Cocktail Bar also earned a nod from voters, taking the 22nd spot on the list.
What sets this watering hole apart from the rest is its use of fermentation to craft its signature drinks.
Civil Works, located inside King West’s Waterworks Food Hall, rounded out the top Toronto drinking hot spots on the list, ranking 29th.

Honorees ‘pushed boundaries’
This year’s North America’s 50 Best Bars list was announced at a ceremony in Vancouver on Wednesday.
“The bars on this year’s list are exemplary in their ability to push boundaries and influence hospitality not only in North America, but across the globe,” said Emma Sleight, head of content for North America’s 50 Best Bars, in a press release.
“From established leaders to exciting new entries, the bars featured continue to push the standard of what a world-class drinks experience can be with their talent, creativity and resilience.”
This year, New York’s Sip & Guzzle took the list’s top spot, while Vancouver’s The Keefer Bar earned the highest ranking for Canada, taking the seventh spot.
