Kawhi Leonard's clock is ticking.
He is currently only under contract through the end of next season (2026-27). He's also under NBA investigation.
That combines to create a lot of uncertainty, and Leonard was asked about that after the game. As you'd imagine, he didn't want to say much.
"Let me cry about this loss a little bit more," Leonard said, via ESPN. "We'll have our discussions when that time comes."

Leonard was incredibly quiet down the stretch as the Warriors went on a late run to steal the play-in victory.
There are now multiple options in front of him, and he'll have to consider how he feels about the fact that the Clippers traded away both James Harden and Ivica Zubac midseason.
"Leonard is eligible, starting on the day after the NBA Finals, to extend his contract for two additional seasons," writes ESPN's Ramona Shelbourne. "According to ESPN's Bobby Marks, the maximum the Clippers can offer is $126.1 million over the two seasons."

Leonard was asked about the Aspiration investigation after Wednesday's game, too.
"I never thought about it too much other than questions asked," Leonard said. "You'll have to ask the NBA, not me. I'm not the one doing the investigation... I think we're going to be in the clear. I'm not stressing it."
Leonard finished this season with a career-high 27.9 points per game. Clearly, he can still be one of the best basketball players on the planet. The question will become where that journey might take him next.
