Bruins Game 78: Notes, Lines, and How to Watch vs. Flyers

The Boston Bruins (43-26-8) have to move on from Saturday’s game in Tampa, and they will have that chance on Sunday afternoon against the Philadelphia Flyers (38-26-12).
The Bruins are on game three of a four-game road trip; they have lost both games so far. The team hopped on a 2-hour flight after the game and will drop the puck just 22 and a half hours after their puck drop on Saturday.

The Bruins sit comfortably in the first wild card spot, with six points separating them from the Montreal Canadiens for third in the division, and six points separating them from the Senators, who are in the second wild card.
The Bruins’ power play has been an issue since the Olympic break; they went 0-for-4 on Saturday. The power play ranks 28th in the league, going 10-for-64 (15.6%). The Flyers, however, have the 32nd-ranked power play in the NHL this season (15.1%), and since the break, they are ranked 30th (12.3%).
The Flyers are on a roll, though. They have the league’s third-best record since the Olympic break, going 13-6-1 and launching back into the playoff race. The Flyers are currently tied with the Blue Jackets, Red Wings, and Senators with 88 points.
The Flyers are 17-13-8 at Xfinity Mobile Arena this season, and the Bruins are 15-16-7 on the road.

There is no morning skate on Sunday, as the team flew in from Tampa, FL, last night, and the game is at 3:30 PM.
