Woods entered a not guilty plea earlier on Tuesday, a few hours before this statement. There is no mention of that here, but he does acknowledge that there is seriousness to the situation that he finds himself in at this moment before saying that he is stepping away for a “period of time” to work on seeking treatment.
Shortly after Tiger’s statement, the PGA Tour issued one of their own where they offered support.

There is no mention of anything else from a specifics standpoint. Many have wondered if Woods would be a part of next week’s Masters Tournament. It would seem that he will not be, though.
We will see what else comes out as things relate to Tiger.
